Editorial Standards

Independently owned

wire.report is privately owned and operated with no outside investors or corporate parent. No one above us sets editorial policy or content priorities.

Sponsor firewall

Sponsors purchase package labels — a name association with a content tier. They never see content before publication, request changes, or influence what we cover.

Your license, your control

Publishers who license our content choose which supplied items to publish and when. We provide the content; you control selection and schedule.

Source provenance

Every item carries a source link and an observation timestamp, and scores are cross-checked before publishing.

Integration & Delivery

Technical FAQ: How delivery works

State of delivery formats today. We maintain production feeds across standard protocols, with custom pipeline connectors available on request during the pilot.

What delivery formats exist today?

Pilot packages are delivered in the formats your desk already uses:

  • RSS 2.0: a per-league feed with title, link, publish time and a short description for each item.
  • JSON: structured items with headline, excerpt, body, observation timestamp, league and primary source link.
  • Email: an HTML briefing sent to your editor on the cadence of your package.
How are CMS and newsletter integrations supported?

Publishers using Ghost, WordPress, or custom sites can embed clean web-ready HTML snippets directly into their composer. Substack and newsletter publishers can connect via RSS feed or paste-ready formatted text. Direct CMS plugins or custom webhook automated pipes are configured on request during the pilot.

How quickly is content published after an event?

Breaking transactions and injury reports are published continuously as primary sources are verified. Game recaps publish after the final score is cross-checked.

Does the license include raw stats database access or an all-access API?

No. The pilot includes publisher-ready content (formatted articles, summaries, and score cards), not raw data feeds or all-access database rights. Any downstream distribution must not identify or imply access to our upstream licensed stats provider.

Can we publish under our own byline without Wire Report branding?

Weekly tier packages carry Wire Report branding. Live and Multi-League tiers include an unbranded option where you can edit, style, and publish content under your own publication's byline.
